NaMoPaiMo: A Winner and Another Painter

Because Pony Pal Mila completed the challenge of painting her model horse before the end of February, she is considered a winner and is now in the winners collage that Jennifer Buxton compiles every day.

But Mila was't the only one painting a model horse Friday. Cowpoke Lukie painted, too!

Out of all the Breyer blanks I had, he chose one that already had some paint on it from when I was experimenting during my first NaMoPaiMo. Go figure.

I took off his shirt, wrapped an old apron around him, and he selected his colors and got to work.

He was making good progress until he realized he could mix the paints.

It was actually pretty interesting to watch him experiment and explore. Instead of stirring, he dribbled colors on top of other colors and then left them like that. He really thought that was neat. (So did I.)

Cowpoke Lukie is three and so I wasn't surprised when he suddenly announced that he was done. We set his horse aside to dry and I helped him wash the paint off his hands and put his shirt back on.

When his model horse was dry, I tried to get a photo of him with "Halloween Horse" as it had been dubbed.

What can I say? He's three!
