I haven't been this excited about the Celebration Horse for a long time. Not even Athenian Lady on the Dundee mold or Danash's Northern Tempest in that wild spotted coloring had me looking forward like this. The last was Atlantis Bey V in 2001 - 25 years ago!

Yesterday Breyer posted an update as to what is happening on Thursday, an unofficial BreyerFest day but one that BreyerFest has expanded into this year. Here is a quick summary of Thursday's activities:

The Clarion

The Resin Renaissance and Breakables shows begin around 5 PM. Will Call with free QR codes printing will be open between 10 AM - 3 PM.

Sellers in the Artisan's Gallery or the Swap Meet need to pick up their packets at Will Call during that 10 AM - 3 PM time slot. The Artisans' Gallery opens in the Expanded Belmont Ballroom at 5:30 PM.

The KHP and the Hotel Loop shuttles begin running at 4:30 PM with the last departure from the Clarion at 11 PM.

Kentucky Horse Park

The Alltech Arena is where all activities will be taking place. Thursday workshops are being held in the South Expo Hall. The Open Model Horse Show will be in the North Expo Hall. (Performance and Mini divisions.)

All other areas of the KYP are closed to visitors until the gates open Friday morning.

Catching Up on BreyerFest

Second Post of the Day

Since I've been out of town, I fell behind in posting BreyerFest news. This is a catch-up post.

Tickets!

If you are like me, you received a lot of notices that ticket sales began yesterday - I was inundated!

I haven't ordered mine yet - I'll be doing virtual BreyerFest but those who wanted to attend the in-person workshops needed to jump fast in order to get into one.

I've actually been thinking of ways that Breyer could increase access to those. As big as the event is, only a very few people actually get the opportunity to do them. I don't have an answer but I sure wish I did. There are some terrific workshops and it's too bad that so many people don't get to attend. 

Selling & Vending

I thought this blog entry was interesting, especially when I read the portion I screen shot below:

Swapping models is allowed but selling them is not, at least on the KHP grounds. I understand the reasoning behind this and I appreciate Breyer being clear about the rules as well as providing a space to trade.

The Vendor Marketplace is open for applications, both for in-person and virtual participants. In addition, the in-person BreyerFest Swap Meet and Artisans' Gallery are accepting applications as is the virtual Artisans' Gallery.

More Guest Horses

Two more have been announced and there was a snippet with Patrick's blog entry that indicated that there were still two more to be announced. 

Athenian Lady is returning but no models of her will be available.

GTR Patricks Vindicator is also coming to visit, but again, bring your own model.

It takes me a few days to decompress, unpack, and inventory my stock after Kalamazoo. That's still in process. Then, the next big thing on my calendar is to film my virtual seminar and send it in to Breyer.

I've got plenty of time, but this one will have some parts that need specific planning. (Like the snow globe one I did for the Collectors Club in November, 2023.)

I'm looking forward to getting started on it!
