These were left over from BreyerFest 2025, so Breyer glossed 225 for BreyerMidwest.
He comes with a certificate of authenticity to ensure that, despite the belly label, there is no question that the glossing was done by Breyer.
I got him in a trade with Liz Cory, and she really knows how to pack a model horse for safe shipping. (Thanks, Liz!)
After a brief time on the photography shelf, Beau N' Arrow will move into the sewing room where I have several other shelf eater models.
I'm happy to add him to my collection, and he is a nice break from the constant sewing I've been doing.
There's another model from Liz on the way, too. This one is from Nancy Falzone's collection and it is due to arrive later today. I can't wait and will be listening for the delivery truck while I sew.
He's beautiful and I was pleased to be drawn, but actually, Lisboa is not staying with me. I have traded him to a good hobby friend for this:

A palomino Cheval Stock Horse that Nancy Falzone wanted to sell.
I only have one Cheval Stock Horse in my collection, so I was happy to purchase this one. Plus, Nancy is a long time friend and it is always nice to have a model from her collection in mine.
Breyer has been keeping hobbyists hopping and happy this January. Yesterday the first offering from the 2026 Vintage Club was made available.
Sentinel and Echo in a gorgeous blue roan, reminiscent of the old red roan all three of these pieces came in back in Breyer's earlier days.
The foals are a gambler's choice, but if I had a choice, I'd choose the Running Foal. (I have a conga of 17 Running Foals already.) It's a popular mold and I counted 36 different offerings of this mold from Breyer with the most recent one being Nestling in the Robin and Nestling/Birds of a Feather series in 2022.
Contrast that to the Scratching Foal mold.
The Scratching Foal has only been used 11 times since the mold was introduced in 1970 and hasn't been used in 18 years. It was last seen as 4 different iterations in the Fun Foals Collector's Event in 2009. No doubt the Scratching Echo will be the more sought after piece of the two.
Regardless of who arrives, I will be happy, although if I don't get the Running Echo, I may see if I can find one on the secondary market.
I already had a name for my foal. Someone on social media said the color looked like milk after Oreos had been dipped into it. New name coined!
I have not yet mentioned the fires that California has been experiencing. My absolute deepest fear is fire, and I cannot imagine what the people in that area of the state are enduring. I am aware that several of you regular blog readers live in the area. My prayers for your safety have been with you.
Yup. That's my brother! He has been teasing me about my horse collection since I first began collecting as a little girl.

But honestly, his offer to help was serious - he just has an irrepressible sense of humor. (I responded tongue in cheek that he could come over and pick up the doggy poo in my back yard.)
One of the best examples of his sense of humor was actually caught on film during our 2022 Dirty Santa exchange.
It's hilarious in and of itself, but when you consider that James had died just three days before this was filmed, and Lisa is laughing that hard, well this sister's heart is grateful for her brother's quirky sense of humor.
In Breyer news, yesterday Breyer announced another Limited Edition for this year's Breyerfest.
This is Beau N' Arrow. (I love that name!) He is a portrait model and will be available to all ticket holders.
Beau N' Arrow is on Karen Gerhardt's Cleveland Bay mold. I don't collect that mold, but I do have Oliver, the 2019 BreyerFest Celebration model. There is a heftiness about this model that, for some reason, I enjoy.
A shelf-eater, I use him to model many of the XLT haversacks I make. (Including one in today's earlier post.)
