Second Post of the Day
Hawkeye Sarah and Todd surprised Trinity with a little yard signage yesterday. Trin's response? "I'm sure you can see that from Google Earth." LOL
Trinity has two graduation ceremonies this weekend (three if you count that pool plunge, hah!) The first one, her pinning ceremony, was yesterday and is highly meaningful to nurses. The pinning ceremony marks the end of being a nursing student and signifies that you now are a full-fledged nurse. Welcome to the profession!
It's considered so meaningful that someone special to the recipient gives the new nurse their pin. Trin chose her mama.
Trin is a third generation nurse. Hawkeye Sarah is a nurse,
as is Trinity's other grandmother, Carmen.
Craig and Lisa went over for the graduation as did Jessie R., a family friend from Denver. (Look at the wedding pictures from JCs^2 wedding and you will see her and her daughter, Aspen, Trin's bestie best.)
An actual text Lisa sent me after the pinning ceremony: "Sorry for the shaky video. I had a foam finger on." Well, okay! That explains it! Hah!
Craig and Lisa are in Iowa City celebrating with Trinity. Because of my current spinal issues, I had to stay home.*** I'm sad not to be there, but they are keeping me included with photos, videos, and phone calls. They may even FaceTime me in tonight so we can all play Bank together. The graduation ceremony today is on Zoom so I will be attending that way.
*** I'm not sick, I just can't sit very long and the five hour car ride to Iowa was out of the question. Besides, Curt and Vanessa are just a phone call away and Pepper and Tammo are good company!
Even though they tend to hog the bed. Notice how they have already hopped up and claimed "their" spaces for the night? Cheeky pups!
