When El Dorado was released earlier this year for the Vintage Club, he came in two colors, Performance Appaloosa copenhagen and florentine. Each color was produced on 600 pieces, and I hoped for (and received) the Copenhagen.
For a while I looked for the Florentine version, but generally the price was more than I was willing to pay. I had a friend who said she was hanging onto hers to use for a trade, and I filed that in the back of my mind in case I had something she might wish to trade for in the future.
Then I won Dryandra, the most recent Wild Animal Series release.
I was happy to win him and as he sat on my shelves, it occurred to me that she might want to trade for Dryandra. And so I sent her a message asking her if she'd be interested in a straight trade. She was, and her El Dorado is now sitting on my shelves.
She's happy with her end of the trade and so am I.
The Semi-Rearing Mustang is lovely in florentine. And Breyer echoed the Appaloosa Performance Horse's pattern beautiful. (It and charcoal are my two favorite Breyer colors.)
The two look nice together. (Pony Pal Kate made me that bandanna for the copenhagen El Dorado last summer.)
I've kinda sorta been in that last stage for the past two years, although thanks to months of physical therapy, I am back to the hobble/wheelbarrow and bucket stage. (Grateful!)
