Closing: The Trail of the Painted Ponies

In my email this morning was a notice from The Trail of the Painted Ponies. The news inside was surprising and a bit sad. The company is closing.

The premise of theme-based models produced by The Trail of the Painted Ponies was unique, but they never really appealed to me. Having said that, there are three in my collection. One I really like and bought for that reason, one whose theme connects to two personal things about me, and one that was a gift from a student.
