A Surprise in the Mail

Since I did not have permission at the time to share my friend's name when I was writing this post, I only used her first initial. I have it now and I am happy to share that it was Diana Dubbeld who was the gracious giver.

As Diana said in her message back to me, "Aw, yes, you can use my name. Random acts of clinky kindness need to happen more often."

I agree, Diana, and I hope that maybe, just maybe, you have started a trend. Thanks again!

Huzzah! The first five years of BreyerFest are researched and written! I just need to proof read and tweak and then the plan is  to begin publishing this weekend. Five BreyerFests down, twenty more to go. Easy peasy, right? (Hah!)

I recently got a surprise box in the mail from a friend. Puzzled, I opened it and gasped when I saw what was inside.

A head down Hagen Renaker Circus Pony with a light blue harness!

It is so pretty and I am thrilled to have it. But why did she send it? I messaged her on Facebook, thanked her, and then asked.

Diana explained that it was a thank you gift for something. Wow, I'd call that a very generous thank you gift.

Thanks so much, Diana. I love the Hagen Renaker Circus Ponies and this will be a wonderful addition to my collection. I'm putting a little tag on its belly so I will know that it had once been yours.

That tag will forever serve as a reminder of a kind and generous friend.

Thanks again. I love it.

A New Variation Circus Pony!

I have seventeen of the Hagen Renaker Head Up and Head Down Circus Ponies so you wouldn't think I needed another, right? At least, not until I find a variation!

Thanks to blog reader Shannon C. who sent me a link to the sales page, this light blue harness variation is now in my collection.

That scalloping on the bridle is beautifully done!

I already had two of the Head Down Circus Ponies in blue harnesses, and I love their deep, electric blue color, but there was certainly room in my collection for the softer light blue version, too.

The one on the left is from Nancy Falzone so it is a keeper in the black hole part of my collection. I don't remember where I got the other dark blue one; I may sell it or I may send it out for repair.

The seller was someone I had not met before and who I now consider a friend, Sally H. from California. We did a lot of chatting back and forth during the transaction, sharing our love of the Hagen Renaker Circus Ponies and Metlox horses, buggies, and carriages.

Sally was kind enough to pop in something extra with my new circus pony. Just wait until you see it - I am so excited to have it!

I'll share that tomorrow so stay 'tooned!
