The Feast: Leslie's Big Goodbye

Sunday was a very big day for our family as we celebrated Leslie's last day as Feast Director.

Some strategic pinning in my tent before she heads out.

Taking deep breaths before the last huzzah of her career.

And then getting sassy.

Lisa ready to help Leslie manage her things for the closing ceremony.

She is on call as needed up at the blockhouse.

And she was.

Trading the binder with Leslie's script for a riding crop.

Addressing all the militia, reenactors, and visitors.

Lady Volunteer - Huzzah!

Amazing Grace for those of the Feast Family no longer with us. Their names are always read by Leslie as part of the closing ceremonies.

Carrying flowers that dear friend (and long time Feaster) Kathy Atwell gave her, Leslie leads the militias out.

Recessional to Hell on the Wabash.

The voyageur camp forms an archway with their paddles for her to walk under. Leslie was surprised and very touched by their gesture.

Rick steals the Hershey Bars in the Recessional.

Lisa in the final recessional.

Watching the militias march past in honor of her service.

Many stopped to thank her or give her a hug.

The final tribute - Hell on the Wabash

The Hershey Bar snatcher (aka Rick) and Lisa.

Proud and nostalgic niece and sister.

Happy Trails, Leslie! Ya done good!
