The Pied Piper of Ponies

Here's a picture of some of Tim's horses, hanging by the gate.
I wonder what they are so interested in?
Wait a minute! On the left! That's a human leg.
And now I see a head! (Er, a HUMAN one, that is.)
Yes, that's Lisa, socializing with Hoki, Dolly, Diablo, and Trouble.
She finishes chatting with them and heads back to where I am petting Abby at another gate.
Looks like of lonely, after all that horse-loving...
But look! She's being followed by Hoki and Dolly.
Looks like she's the pied piper of ponies to me!

Softing Hoki

While here, Lisa has become fond of Hoki, and he sure likes her. Today he hung out with her at the gate and Lisa began "softing" him. What's softing? Something Kyle and Ashley do to Braden and Addie - gentle back rubs, taking a piece of fabric and brushing it against the skin, etc. It helps the kids relax and go to sleep.

Lisa was really just petting Hoki and giving him some love, but it had the same effect. Just look!

A hug for Hoki and a neck rub.
" Mmmmmmm, that is so relaxing, Lisa!"
Some rubbing under the head and jaw.
"I'll just shut my eyes for a moment."
Some cheek strokes.
 "Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...."
A close up of Hoki sound alseep as he stands at the gate.

He was out cold!! Lisa and I were cracking up while trying not to wake Hoki with our giggles.
