It's a Good Day to Labor!

Happy Labor Day!  And I am going to be laboring, big time.

Today I am tackling all three things that have deadlines and are fast approaching. I'm starting with the videotaping. Its deadline is the earliest (October 1) and Teacher Daughter Lisa is coming over at 8:30 this morning to film me. I'm almost ready but have a few things to do before she gets here.

I'm hampered by Gus who is spending Labor Day weekend with us while Local Son Curt and family are up in Chicago. He's a sweet boy, but he is missing his family and clings like a burr. He is following me everywhere and I am not going to ignore the homesick boy so he is slowing me down. But it is what it is, right?

After the videotaping is done, I will set it aside and finish a men's voyageur shirt. It won't take too long as I'm almost done. Then I will cut out the first of two shirts I plan to make this week.

Lastly, I plan to make a couple of haversacks.  I finished four Traditionals last week and then made four Stablemates.

The mint green donkey fabric is a favorite of mine.

Stablesmates to show size of haversack and scale of print.

Stablemates inside the haversacks to show fit.

Fit.

The haversacks for today are already cut out, pinned, and chalked. I hope to finish them today.

There are still the two transcription projects, but I got one of those done Sunday and am partially done with the second.

So, good progress all around!
