Lisa Rides Hokey

Teacher Daughter Lisa has been on spring break this week and she went riding while she had the time. (Great way to use your spare time, sez I!)

Lisa is an experienced rider - she rode when she was in middle and high school and used to do jumpers. 

Tim let her take Hokey and then decided to join her - he wanted to work with Two Socks but felt better having someone along with him in case there was a problem.

Tim began by ponying Two Socks in the indoor arena - a first for her.

She is very smart and picks up things quickly.

Things went so well that Tim decided he would take her outside for more experience.

They were able to find places to ride that were not too muddy.

Although you can see that Two Socks had recently been enjoying the mud spa.

I wish I could have been there - I was having one of those days when I just wasn't feeling well so I was at home curled up on the couch and hoping Lisa would take a kazillion pictures to show me. 

They rode for over an hour and then came back to the new barn to untack and cool down.

Lisa's response when asked how her ride went?  "There is nothing better than a good horseback ride."
