Second Post of the Day
I hope you enjoyed that doggy soap opera in the previous post. Sometimes, as I look at the photos I've taken, a story comes out. And Nash is such an earnest, funny boy, he makes that story-telling easy. That boy has one of the biggest, gentlest hearts I've ever seen in a dog.
Anyway - did you notice I did some housekeeping for the blog? The appearance has changed although I am not sure I will stick with the orange.
While I was making those changes, I discovered something.
A large amount of blog comments had been redirected to the Spam Comments file!
What?? As I looked at them, I didn't see any reason that they had been marked as spam. But looking more closely, I noticed that most of the Spam Comments had no names - they were simply attributed to "Anonymous."
So, for whatever reason, some Blogger filter is labeling many of the Anonymous blog comments as spam and putting them in a separate file. And I see no way to change that in Settings.
Whoa. Not good.
I don't want to miss your comments and I'm getting ready to do the May Give Away. And I certainly do understand why folks might comment anonymously; for one reason, Blogger doesn't make commenting straightforward and easy. You do need to take a few extra steps to identify yourself but if you don't, the default is an anonymous comment.
So, to help you out, here's how to add your name:

At the end of each blog entry you will see this:
Click on the "No comments" (or it may say something like "3 comments" if others have already commented.)

Click on the drop-down triangle to the right of "Anonymous."

Three selections will come up for you to choose from.
Click on "Name / URL.
---------------------------------
Type in your name, initials, or a pseudo name (like Horsiemama or Horsey Reader)
and then click "CONTINUE."

Add your comment, hit that "PUBLISH" button,
Can you still post your comments anonymously? Of course! But just be aware that I probably will not see them nor will you be able to participate in the Give Aways. (I can't contact an anonymous winner whose name I don't know.)

And your comment will publish where it should - on the blog and not in Spam Comments.
NOTE: While you can add your name or initials at the end of your comment, it will still default as an Anonymous post unless you follow these steps.
I do enjoy reading your comments and knowing who wrote them. I've made a lot of treasured friends that way. But the choice is always yours.
