I'm almost ready to head off to the Great Lakes Congress show.
Yesterday I did a final inventory of haversacks, pony pads, and horsey blackened beeswax ornaments
and then I did a mock set-up in the sewing room. I have enough merchandise but not as much as I usually do - I spent so much time sewing 18th century clothing that I did not get as much sewn for GLC as I'd hoped.
And with just two weeks between the events, I just didn't have time to get done what I'd wanted.
I did bag up a lot of my horsey remnants, just as I do with my 18th century fabric remnants, only I am giving these away, not selling them. Quilters and crafters are going to get a really good deal!
I'm even taking an 18th century shirt to deliver to a hobbyist. (I have female customers who like to wear men's trade shirts with leggings and a belt around their middle in their 21st century life.)
What's left to do? Well, yesterday I decided I would show a few models after all. I think I have some room in the car (my walker takes a lot of space in the trunk) so after I load the haversacks, I will see if there is space for a tub of ponies. If so, yay! And if not, that's fine. I enjoy showing, but I enjoy the social aspect of showing more. I will have fun regardless.

Although it seems like you're super busy getting ready for it, I would love it if we had live model horse shows that were local to me.
ReplyDeleteI've been to one model show in 2014, not to participate but to see what they were about. It was a six hour drive across the state and I haven't been to another one since. : (
