The Eyes Have It (Most of the Time)

I have worn glasses or contacts for most of my life. But recently it has been getting harder for me to see fine things close up, even with my glasses on.

My optometrist gave me this red pair to wear at the sewing machine. According to him, they are different from reading glasses and not the kind that you can buy at the drug store, but they would enable me to better see what I was stitching.

He was right and I can clearly see what I am sewing again.

Having said that, I don't think anything could've helped me read this Redken bottle of hair conditioner.

Even taking a photo of the back and then enlarging it didn't help - I still could not read it. (So, if my hair looks poorly conditioned in photos, now you know - I couldn't follow the directions to use it! LOL)

Recently there were discussions online about this year's Deluxe Collector Club piece Kiana and her eyes and how they looked surprised or scared.

Hmmm. The eyes on mine looked like simple black dots to me. So, I tried what I'd done with that Redkin bottle, took some photos that I then enlarged, and this time I had success.

Her eyes were not just black dots - they were brown with a black pupil! (And yeah, maybe a little surprised or scary looking, too.)

Now I am wondering if any of my other Stablemates, especially those from the Vintage Club or past Deluxe Club Stablemates, have more detailed eyes than I'd thought.

I may go put on my red glasses, grab my phone, and check a few of them later today.
