I am feeling the jitters as I pack up for Midwest Model Mania. Showing and selling at the same time is looming large in my thoughts, and I am wondering if I have bitten off more than I can chew.
As for the actual display of merchandise, I didn't want to stack the haversacks in piles - you can only see the top item when you do that.
I am bringing Traditional, long Traditional, Classic/Freedom, Curio, Stablemate sizes and then an assortment of odd sizes that will fit some of those atypical molds. (Think Breyer's Donkey, for example. Favrile is another.)
The Christmas ornaments are in a basket. I was really pleased with how their individual packaging looks.
A real challenge was how to display the pony pads - some are foldable while others are not. (These are for those models showers prefer to lay on their sides at shows instead of having them stand up and risk breakage.)
The KonMari Way would not work for the kitchen and guest towels - the embroidered design on them would not be seen that way. I decided to just bring the tub that I store them in and let people look at them that way.
I've learned from Marie Kondo to fold the KonMari way which makes things stand up in your drawers so you can see everything all at once.
My fabric stash is stored the KonMari Way and with a quick glance, I can find what I need without having to dig through piles of fabric (and then needing to refold it all afterward.)

(I absolutely love making these ginger ponies! The Cowpokes and Pony Pals may get one for Christmas.)
I still need to make signs with prices on them, but other than that, the Mercantile is ready to roll.
Now, to start working on the models I am taking, their documentation and tags, and to figure out how on earth I am going to be able to sell and show at the same time.
