December is always a busy month, but this one has seemed extra busy. Maybe it is because I decided to make a lot of my kids' and grands' Christmas ornaments this year. (A tradition of giving each grandchild a Christmas ornament every year that was passed down from my mother.) I embroidered over 150 felt and lace ornaments for family as well as friends.
In addition to embroidering almost every day, I also did some sewing.A friend asked me if I could embroider her stable name onto two blankets for a couple of her Lady Phases.
I was pleased with how they turned out. I may begin adding them to Horsiemama's Mercantile.I love the Silver mold, and so when Breyer recently came out with Black Beauty (which could only be bought online) I added him to my Silver conga.
Then, Secret Santa Kathy Casey sent me Sterling, one of the 2014 BreyerFest Single Day Ticket Stablemates! He is so pretty! (In case you haven't noticed my Stablemate collection has really grown this year.)
And guess who was drawn for Ursa Major and Ursa Minor?
They are pearly and beautifully done.
I've had several baby bears come through my collection, but I have never had the mama. I was surprised at how big she is. (These are going to a friend. Much as I like them, I don't collect Breyer's animals.)
