Off to GLC!

Preparing for a show can be a lot of work.

My show tubs are in the closet of my office which also doubles as a place to hang the 18th century clothing I have made to sell. Sorting everything can get messy!

I have horses that I had to round up and pack that were in different rooms of the house. (What?? You don't put fragile chinas in the bathtub until you can make space in the china cabinet for them?)

Since Horsiemama's Haversacks & Mercantile has a vendor's table at GLC,

I needed to inventory the haversacks and pony pads

and then pack them all up

and haul them downstairs and to the car. (Pepper knows I am leaving and is following me everywhere I go.)

Of course, then you play car Jenga and hope that you can fit everything in.

Nancy Kelly, I know you are a master at this and that we have the same car. Any tips or suggestions??

The L bag is packed with donations and will be given to Liz at the show.

And the trunk.... oops! I forgot I was storing some of Abby's things in there, that I had not taken Lisa's and my 18th century clothing to the dry cleaners yet, and that the bell was in there, too.

It's staying there, too - it's far too heavy to move and I will have to pack around it. (It hung on a post at our home on the Wabash and our mother used it to call us in from the pastures, woods, and river banks when we were kids.)

Wish me luck! I will be back late and hopefully will be able to get a blog post up Sunday morning.
