It's going to be a busy Breyer day for Collectors Club members! Breyer is having an early access Black Friday today that begins at 12:00 noon Eastern time.
I've got my alarm set - I can't think of anything I need right now, but they say some things are coming out of Breyer's vault and you never know, you just might "need" something in those cases. Hah!
Since my Horsiemama Mercantile stock has been replenished, I have been toying with the idea of having a black Friday sale of my own. I've joined Christmas on Mane Street (what a brilliant idea!) but I'm not sure yet how I would implement my own participation.
The premise is to gather hobby artisans and makers into a virtual village where hobbyists can go shopping November 25 - December 1. But I have a daughter's birthday, hosting Thanksgiving, family coming in, several doctors' appointments, and a vet visit for Pepper during that short stretch of time.
I think I will watch the event, (doing some shopping, of course) and then consider being a vendor next year.
As I said, my haversack stock has been replenished plus I have some fabulous new fabrics. Take a look:
Newly Completed XL Traditionals
Two inches, slick roads, and as I write, both lanes on the bridge over the Wabash River are closed due to crashes. It's one of three bridges over the river between Lafayette and West Lafayette, but it is the only one that has a steep hill coming down off the moraine as you approach the bridge. When I was teaching, I absolutely dreaded that bridge, both going over and up as well as down and over, when there was fresh snow and ice!
