Second Post of the Day
And the winner is...
As for which foal I will get, the Running or the Scratching, I should know soon. Breyer has sent me a shipping notice for the replacement set. I'll let you know what it is when it arrives.
Stay 'tooned!

First Post of the Day
And the winner of the January Give Away is...
... apparently not working. Despite that I was able to upload the video of Lukie and Gus playing with the balloon, this one won't load.
Here are two more links. And sorry for the inconvenience. It's Google again.
Mila's Favorite Potato Salad
5 - 6 large potatoes
4 - 5 eggs
Small onion, diced
2-3 stalks of celery, sliced thinly or diced
Salt to taste
Mayo
Paprika
---
Peel and cut the potatoes into cubes. Place in cooking pot and cover with water. Rinse the eggs and then tuck them in among the potatoes. Be sure they, too, are covered with water. Put pot on burner over medium heat and bring to a boil. Chop the onion and celery while waiting for the water to boil.
Check potatoes for doneness with a fork. When they are almost cooked through, turn off heat and cover. Let sit while finishing up chopping the other ingredients.
Drain the potatoes and leave in drainer. Put the eggs in ice water to cool and then peel and cut them into chunks roughly the same size as the potatoes. Leave one whole.
In large bowl, place 1/3 of the potatoes. Top with 1/3 of the celery, onion, and eggs, sprinkle with salt, and then spread mayo over that layer. Repeat this two more times. Using a large spoon, mix all the ingredients in the bowl together, adding in more mayo if it needs it. Take the remaining egg and slice, then arrange the slices on top. Sprinkle with paprika, cover, and put in fridge. (Or, you can eat it while it's still warm. It's good that way, too!)
Hey, Jennifer Cole!
You won the second April Give Away and I'd love to send you your Racing Corgis haversack! Will you please send me your mailing address? Your prize is all packed up and ready to be mailed to you!
Thanks!

And the results from the second April Give Away are here!
Next we will spin to win for everyone else who guessed - good luck!
Second Post of the Day
Actually, that title should be, "And the Winners Are..."
Not only are there two winners for the tea towels, but if you had entered the December Give Away and did not win anything this morning, be sure to keep reading below. There is something for you, too!
So, let's spin to win!
Congratulations! Please let me know which tea towel you'd like to have and confirm the address where I should mail it to you.
And the second winner is...
As soon as the first winner chooses, I will get yours packed up and in the mail, too.
Entered and didn't win? Don't despair, I have several Christmas blankets going spare. LOL
Anyone who didn't win this month despite having entered can have one for free. Email your mailing address to me at horsiemama8@gmail.com and I'll pop one into the mail for you.
And with that, we end the 2024 Give Aways. Thanks to all who participated and Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Holidays to you all!
And we have a winner!
Thanks to all who entered! And as so many of you requested, I will have these available to buy after Feast for $5 each and postage. (That's a special price for blog readers.) I expect to sell many of them at the Feast, but I will make more if the one you want is sold out.
I need to head to the sewing machine as I am in crunch time, so it's a short post today.
I am making myself a bedgown from this fabric - probably my favorite 18th century block print ever. I want to finish it this morning and then get Mila's jacket cut out and stitched.
Meanwhile, here are two cute doggy pictures to enjoy.
