The Winner of the February Give Away

 Second Post of the Day

And the winner is...

... not appearing, for some reason!

So, here is a screenshot from the spinner that is ready to go,

and one of the winner.

Congratulations! And thank you to all who entered. I really enjoyed reading your comments.

As for which foal I will get, the Running or the Scratching, I should know soon. Breyer has sent me a shipping notice for the replacement set. I'll let you know what it is when it arrives.

Stay 'tooned!

The Winner of the January Give Away

First Post of the Day

And the winner of the January Give Away is...

... apparently not working. Despite that I was able to upload the video of Lukie and Gus playing with the balloon, this one won't load.

Here are two more links. And sorry for the inconvenience. It's Google again.

Congratulations! And also we had two folks who guessed correctly that Mila's favorite dish is potato salad. They will get a little something in the mail from me, too.

Mila's daddy, Curt, also loves potato salad. Here she watches him eating some that I made him for his birthday, hoping that he will share with her. (He did.)

As an extra bonus, here is the recipe for the potato salad that I make for Mila and the rest of my family.

Mila's Favorite Potato Salad

5 - 6 large potatoes

4 - 5 eggs

Small onion, diced

2-3 stalks of celery, sliced thinly or diced

Salt to taste

Mayo

Paprika

---

Peel and cut the potatoes into cubes. Place in cooking pot and cover with water. Rinse the eggs and then tuck them in among the potatoes. Be sure they, too, are covered with water. Put pot on burner over medium heat and bring to a boil. Chop the onion and celery while waiting for the water to boil.

Check potatoes for doneness with a fork. When they are almost cooked through, turn off heat and cover. Let sit while finishing up chopping the other ingredients.

Drain the potatoes and leave in drainer. Put the eggs in ice water to cool and then peel and cut them into chunks roughly the same size as the potatoes. Leave one whole.

In large bowl, place 1/3 of the potatoes. Top with 1/3 of the celery, onion, and eggs, sprinkle with salt, and then spread mayo over that layer. Repeat this two more times. Using a large spoon, mix all the ingredients in the bowl together, adding in more mayo if it needs it. Take the remaining egg and slice, then arrange the slices on top. Sprinkle with paprika, cover, and put in fridge. (Or, you can eat it while it's still warm. It's good that way, too!)

2nd April Give Away Winners!

And the results from the second April Give Away are here!

Congratulations! When I get your contact info, I'll pop your haversack into the mail. It's packed and ready to go.

Racing Corgis is one of the most popular fabrics I've ever used in the Mercantile. And I can see why - those dogs look joyful as they race!

Next we will spin to win for everyone else who guessed - good luck!

And we have another winner!

A Racing Corgis haversack is heading your way, too! (No dog, sorry. That's to show size and what will fit.) I've got your contact info, so no need to send that to me.

And that concludes April's Give Aways. Thanks for entering.

And the Winner is...

Second Post of the Day

Actually, that title should be, "And the Winners Are..."

Not only are there two winners for the tea towels, but if you had entered the December Give Away and did not win anything this morning, be sure to keep reading below. There is something for you, too!

So, let's spin to win!

Congratulations! Please let me know which tea towel you'd like to have and confirm the address where I should mail it to you.

And the second winner is...

As soon as the first winner chooses, I will get yours packed up and in the mail, too.

Entered and didn't win? Don't despair, I have several Christmas blankets going spare. LOL

Anyone who didn't win this month despite having entered can have one for free. Email your mailing address to me at horsiemama8@gmail.com and I'll pop one into the mail for you.

And with that, we end the 2024 Give Aways. Thanks to all who participated and Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Holidays to you all!

The September Give Away Winner

And we have a winner!

Thanks to all who entered! And as so many of you requested, I will have these available to buy after Feast for $5 each and postage. (That's a special price for blog readers.) I expect to sell many of them at the Feast, but I will make more if the one you want is sold out.

I need to head to the sewing machine as I am in crunch time, so it's a short post today.

I am making myself a bedgown from this fabric - probably my favorite 18th century block print ever. I want to finish it this morning and then get Mila's jacket cut out and stitched.

Meanwhile, here are two cute doggy pictures to enjoy.

Pepper protecting her most favorite toys while triple dog daring Tammo to just try, just TRY to steal one. He ALWAYS falls for that dare. (Which is why she does it! LOL)

Tired after a hard day of playing, going to the park, treats, pets, more treats, and naps, the poor doggo friends share my feet while they nap. Which essentially means that I'm not going anywhere, but hey, I was tired, too!

NaMoPaiMo Winnings

I received a winners package from the folks at NaMoPaiMo yesterday!
About a third of those who participate in NaMoPaiMo will randomly receive one, and I was one of the lucky participants.
Kylee Parks designed a medallion for this year's event. It is so cute and I can see why so many hobbyists enjoy collecting these.
There were two bookmarks from Shlei Original Art - perfect for me since I always have at least one book going! I am trying to track down who this is so that I can send a thank you note, but I haven't had any luck yet.
A NaMoPaiMo bag! I am really excited about this one and am taking it today with me to physical therapy - I'm doing pool work with my PT and this will be today's pool bag.
The photo doesn't show the detail very well, but this necklace from Tamarrion Covington Studios has a horse in the center and is beautiful.
The note with these German stickers from Carol Beutel made me smile - "Stickers for the Pony Pals." They are going to enjoy the so much! (I do hope they let Grammy play with them, too!)

Thank you, Jennifer Buxton and all the NaMoPaiMo folks, for these lovely, horsey goodies. They will be put to good use!
