BreyerFest Week: Home BreyerFest

Second Post of the Day.

BreyerFest officially opens tomorrow and the excitement in the hobby is through the roof! Finally, after a wait of three years, in-person BreyerFest is happening. (I can't wait to find out what the Rotating Draft Surprise is.) 

Despite some very real FOMO Monday earlier in the week,  I am having a better "home BreyerFest" week than I thought I would. I've been wearing model horse tees all week and despite being busy preparing for two upcoming 18th century events, I have done horsey things every day.

Dinner last night was served on the cowboy dishes that Liz delivered Monday. That's shy Molly in her safe space by the fridge keeping an eye on the grilled chicken and hoping we will share. (We did.)

Not only is Liz picking up my BreyerFest models, she is keeping her eyes open for models she knows I'd like to have.

She's also sending me lots of pictures of the room sales as she shops the Clarion.

There truly is something for everyone at the Clarion!

I bought that white and black Hartland Tinymite Tennessee Walker via Liz. I had Tinymites as a child and still have the palomino and buckskin, but I've looked for the TWH for years. 

I also bought this black pinto Cheval Friesian. I have it in brown pinto as well as solid black, but have been looking for this one since 2020 when I saw it in a photo show.

Tuesday a friend contacted me and said her daughter was selling her Breyers and then asked if I might be interested in them.

She sent me some photos and I went over to her home yesterday and took a look.

There was a distinct feel of the Clarion sales since we were upstairs in a bedroom looking at model horses! I came home with several and will share them in a future blog post.

Today I will be running to the fabric store for some sewing supplies, to the grocery to get my usual BreyerFest snacks in preparation for tomorrow, and finally, I may do more "room sales" by scoping out an antique mail I haven't visited since before the pandemic.

Super excited for the start of BreyerFest tomorrow!
