I have two cherry pies to bake this morning before we head over to Curt and Vanessa's home for Christmas Eve so I am writing fast. Ignore typos!
A group selfie once everyone had arrived.
The kids already playing on the overlook are in this one.
Monday morning we hung out at the house, settling in and sleeping in.
We also enjoyed the dogs. Pepper was jealous of the attention Kyle was giving Tammo, so she pushed in between the two so she could have some love, too!
Pepper also spent time with Melissa and Susan. She plopped down on the floor in front of them and then reached out and held paws with Melissa.
Of course, you can't visit Grammy without playing Rudolph Bingo! (Yep, the pony pals and cowpokes will play it year round.)
Who would have thought that a game I bought on a whim one year would become one of our family's most-played games!
Another family favorite is Cover Your Assets.
We are spread out over "the homestead," a VRBO, Lisa's home, and Curt and Vanessa's home. Everyone was back at the homestead by mid morning and Sarah's crew put their ornaments on the tree while others got out my two handbell sets.
First order of business for the afternoon was to get those kids and dogs some exercise. Most of us headed to Purdue's Horticulture Park for a long hike up and down in the woods.
Then, it was time to go ice skating.
Getting us all out the door together can take some doing
but we file out, hop in our cars, and get where we want to be.
Eventually. Hah!
When we get together as a family, meals are a big undertaking. Curt makes a spreadsheet and we all sign up to cook dinner one night.
Yesterday Sarah, Todd, Trinity, JC, and Jayci hosted at their VRBO.
Sarah's Cafe Rio bar is a big family favorite.
My boys. (Cole, Curt, and Kyle.) I want to get a photo of my girls, and then my in-loves, too.
Kate's in the kitchen ready to cook her breakfast (she's an early riser like her Grammy) so I need to run.
