Second Post of the Day
Breyer has been having a multitude of shipping problems this holiday season. I have not been immune to them; my issue has been with their 2024 holiday blankets.
Breyer's holiday blankets come in three different patterns and as a gambler's choice. Like other blanket collectors, I ordered several, hoping to get one of each.
Instead...
I received six that were all the same.
I soon learned that I wasn't only one who received identical multiples. It seems as though the pickers just grabbed from one bin rather than grabbing from several bins so an assortment would be shipped.
A hobby trading flurry ensued and many of us now have the assortment we had first hoped for. (I'm still working on a trade for the white, but I did get the blue.)
About a week later, this shipping notice arrived in my inbox.
Wait! What? I'd already received my complete order - nothing was missing, and I had paid for what I'd gotten. Why would Breyer now be sending me one blanket?
All I could do was to wait for the box to get here and see what was inside. Maybe it would make sense then.
The box arrived Thursday, sent by the shipping manager himself. (I covered that as there was some personal information on the address label.)
One red poinsettia blanket, my seventh, was inside. I could not believe it. I absolutely do not need a seventh blanket - I still have some left from the first shipping of six to trade or sell!
Quickly I checked the accounts I use to purchase things from Breyer, and none of them had been charged for a single blanket. That was a relief, but it also posed its own problem - now I had a blanket that I needed to return as it was not mine.
Although I have never had much success with emailing Breyer, I decided to email them anyway, explain the problem, and ask them to send me a mailer or shipping label so that I could send the blanket back to them. Hopefully Breyer will respond, and if I don't hear back from them, then I feel I have done my due diligence about returning it, and will donate it to a future GLC show.
I am now closely watching my Breyer account to be sure I am not charged for buying this blanket, paying for its shipping to me, or its return shipping back home to Breyer.
Anyone need a blanket??
