Really, PayPal??

Where is that eyeroll emoticon when you need it? I had just completed purchasing a few things from Breyer's Warehouse sale when I got this notice from PayPal.

In rapid-fire sequence, two more emails came in, one right after the other.

Denied? Pony Pal Mila's birthday gift was on that order, and her birthday was only a week away!

Denied and my payment had been reversed, too? Why? My credit is good, and I had money in the account, so things should have gone smoothly.

I went back and looked at my order, and that's when the eye rolling began.

Seriously, PayPal? After all the orders I've made to Reeves International from a PayPal account that is dedicated solely to my collection of plastic, china, and resin FAKE, NON LIVING animals, you flag me for possible live animals?

I'm all for protecting animals, but logically when you look at my order history, the cost of these flagged animals, and the fact that the payment is for a company that produces animal figurines for collectors, it simply does not make sense to not only flag the order, but to then deny it.

But, that's what happens when tech is set up to catch certain things but is unable to weigh, measure, and determine beyond the original flagging parameters.

I went back to Breyer and paid via a credit card (ironically, the same one linked to my PayPal account) and my merchandise arrived a few days later so all is good.

It will be interesting to see what happens the next time I purchase a Breyer/Collecta animal or two.
