There are a lot of pictures here and very little information. That's because I did not attend this show and the pictures are from Liz Cory who did. (I love it when friends send me photos from a show I did not attend!)
I am still under the weather and don't have the energy to sit at my desk and do research about this show. But you can still enjoy the photos of some very lovely model horses.
NOTE: Be sure to read Liz Cory's comment at the end of the post for more information about these two!
I would love to have a Bunny some day (far left) - to me, she's the epitome of a gentle draft mare.
More Andalusians!
An ISH! (Pronounced "ish" which is for Ideal Stock Horse.) Sculpted by Carol Williams of Rio Rondo, the ISH was already a highly popular resin when Peter Stone bought the mold and began producing it in plastic in the late 1990s.
Some Stone decorators.
And I like the colors in this foal's paint job.
I've been to this show before (it's held in northern Indiana, only about two hours from me) and had a lot of fun. There's another show in the Fall, but I have The Feast of the Hunters' Moon and The Great Lakes Congress show then, and that's about all I have time and energy for. But maybe some day I'll go again.
After taking a look at the pictures Liz sent me from the Stone Country Fair, I'm thinking of doing a blog post or two on my (very) small Stone collection. Maybe after I wrap up the Pairs o' Ponies series? We shall see.
And thanks, Liz, for sharing your photos!
Thank you, Lynn, glad you enjoyed the photos! This was a wonderful show and such a fun weekend. We sure missed you, Lynn!! There are two event models shown. The first photo is of Christine and Austin Jefferson with Doc Holliday (with his model, see the matching ears?). "Doc" loves to cover his visitors with kisses, which is one of the reasons why I had to buy his likeness....I love horsey kisses! The second horse is Red Hot Color, also belonging to Austin and Christine. "Red" lent his beautiful likeness to the other event model, which is a Remington. Both models are gorgeous. I believe they are still available on the Stone website, but they are going quickly.
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon, Lynn!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon! 🫂
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Thanks for sharing. I agree with you that Bunny looks like a very sweet draft mare that I'd love to meet in person. Maybe someday we will each get one for our collections.
ReplyDeleteSorry you are still ill....wishing you a speedy recovery! Hugs.
