Yesterday, BreyerFest ticket holders received the invitation to submit their preferences for theirBreyerFest Special Run models.

Ticket holders had a very short window of three days (May 18) to make their preference known and then in June, ticket books will be sent out with model reservation tickets inside.
Knowing this was coming, I had made a list of the models I wanted, both the special runs as well as the limited editions, weeks ago and was ready to make my reservation list when preferences opened.
Apparently so was everyone else.
I struggled to log in! First I got messages that my login information was incorrect. Then it began accepting my login, would ask me to fill in a capta to prove I wasn't a robot, and finally, after a pause, would send me back to login, saying my information was wrong. It accepted me again and again only to refuse me entry until finally, and very suddenly, it let me in.
I can only surmise that hordes of hobbyists were all trying to get in at the same time and Breyer's web site overloaded.
My choices have now been made (Nemea, Stage Coach Suprise, Speos, wild card) and so now I wait to receive my ticket book to see what is guaranteed and what I will be looking for.
Having said that, I may be doing virtual BreyerFest again this year and need to find someone to do pickups for me. Mountain Mama Jessica used to perform in a lot of musicals and operas but hasn't been onstage for years. She decided to go back to her performing roots and she and her entire family auditioned for the musical Matilda a few weeks ago. All four of them got parts, with Cowpoke Titan receiving the role of Nigel.

Family always takes precedence over hobby, so Craig and I are heading out to Utah to see them perform. But no FOMO for me - I have enjoyed Virtual BreyerFest in the past and I am happy to do so again.
