It's still spring, but it feels like summer in Indiana. It was 89 degrees yesterday and the humidity was sky high!
There is a ten acre hay field by the entrance to our neighborhood and the first cutting was just finished. No rain is expected in the near future, so that hay should dry quickly in this heat and be ready to bale soon.
Yesterday I headed back to Teacher Daughter Lisa's school and dropped off some cookie bars for her students.
They had been so respectful and kind when Pepper and I were there last week, I made them chocolate chip cookie bars to enjoy.
Next I headed out to the barn. Despite the heat, the horses were out in the field eating but they came right over when I pulled up by the new barn and parked my car.
Hokey loves water, and he began playing in the trough.
I grabbed my camera, and of course he stopped. Still, I got this short video of him messing about in the water.

ReplyDeleteOne of the kids liked the cookie bars so much, he asked me to share my recipe. I said to turn the Nestle’s bag of chocolate chips over and use the recipe there. That was what I’d used. 😊
