When live shows closed down due to the pandemic last year, there was a resurgence of photo showing. We returned to our 1960s/70s roots and online digital showing exploded. I've entered a lot of the digital photo shows, and Robin Kent's Clinkies Online Show has been one of my favorites.
An old photo showing picture of Midwest Tumbleweed, a 1971 custom by Sherry Cook MacDonald. (She's still in my collection.)
There are a lot of divisions in Clinkies Online, but instead of them all having to be loaded at the same time, Robin is parceling out the divisions one by one as individual, unique shows. Since the show began in May, 2020, there have been 11 different shows.
The early Japan pieces have their charm, and some are quite rare and valuable, but usually they are overlooked in the show ring. With this show, there is a place for them.
Clinkies Online recently wrapped up the equine subdivision of the Asian/Other Manufacturers division. To my delight, my Ucago (Japan) Belgian mare did very well.
