A Pony in My Pocket 8/21

Just before her family left Indianapolis for Florida, Cory pulled a little gift bag out of her pocket and gave me a birthday gift, one that came from her own collection and that she'd been carrying with her during the five weeks they were on the road.

A little plastic pony that reminded her of her twin horse, Abby!

I put it in my pocket right away - I had an idea that I thought Cory would enjoy. Remembering when Anne Field's Elecktra came to visit, I decided to have fun with my new pocket pony and include Cory in that fun from afar.

That night we had plans to go out to dinner. Pocket Pony came along and pranced beside my plate while I ate my taco salad.

Next we went to the West Lafayette High School football game where Pocket Pony cheered on the team with us.

With a little help from Aunt Lisa, Pocket Pony cantered along in rhythm with the band.

Over the next couple of days I plan to take Pocket Pony with me (in my pocket, of course) as I run errands. Today I have to run to JoAnn's to get some things for the 18th century riding habits and I will take some photos of Pocket Pony helping me decide what to buy and then send them to Cory. I'll have to take a photo of Pocket Pony and Abby together, too.

This is going to be fun!
